About Us

Tagiev School of Music was founded in 2001 by Emin Tagiev to provide the ideal conditions in which musically gifted young strings players could develop their potential. Tagiev School of Music combines the benefits of being small with the opportunities that only offered by much bigger educational establishments around the world. School provides unique, innovative and progressive instrumental programme recorgnised nationally and internationally. Graduates of Tagiev School of Music continue their tertiary education in well known musical institution in the world such as Royal Academy of Music in London , Julliard School of Music in New York, Academy of Music in Toronto, Australian Academy of Music in Melbourne and etc.

The great strength of the School lies in the extraordinary talent and wealth of experience of its founder Emin Tagiev and the school's highly qualified team.

The School and its students, as well as the Tagiev Chamber Orchestra, have received several prestigious accolades. This includes a highly sought-after Gold Medal at the 18th Australian International Music Festival in Sydney in 2007 and an invitation to perform a concert at the iconic Carnegie Hall in New York City.

These programs are designed to teach Piano to students from beginner level right through to those who wish to further and upgrade their established styles. Every effort is made to teach piano skills at appropriate level, including examination levels if required. Students will be able to perform publicly throughout the year.

These classes are an excellent support programme to accompany instrumental learning and aims to equip the students with the necessary skills to commence the early stages of AMEB Grade 1 Theory. The classes cover preparatory excercises in written theory and aural excercises in rhythm, pitch difference and melody, timbre, dynamic level and finally,the combining of the musical elements. A variety of media is used to increase the student's musical experiences.

These classes teach excellence in all aspects of instrumental playing, culminating in several concert recitals throughout the year as well as involvement in musical festivals and competitions nationally and internationally.
