Mont and Co School of Music Melbourne, VIC 3000

  • MAKE A CHANGE There is an undeniably special relationship between a teacher, a student, and the art of music. Music teaching reaches beyond the musical concept, notes, and skills, to provide a self-awareness, self-expression and confidence that a student will carry with them for life. Lessons that hold well beyond the music sheets. Here, you will find that the art of teaching is as important as the art of music. Welcome to Mont & Co School of Music.

I have known Adrian as a piano instructor for quite some time. I started lessons with him back in 2011 and was very impressed with his laid back style and found he really knew his craft.

I found him to know and understand music concepts on a theoretical basis however not compromising on the musicality of modern music. I learnt a lot in my short time as his student and was disappointed that I could not continue, as my child would begin taking lessons with him.

Adrian is wonderful with children of all ages. My oldest son was 6/7 when he started and continues to be taught by Adrian. I commend Adrian for the hard work that he has installed and persevered with Z.
Z can be defiant at times but he has worked hard and is truly understanding music and can read and play pieces that Adrian knows his capable of.

I give Adrian all the credit for this achievement and I respect his teaching methods. Z said something truly amazing yesterday "I find playing music very relaxing" as he was about to start practicing. Adrian is responsible for this because at first he found it very challenging.

Now his teaching my middle child, D (5 yrs) and he looks forward every week to his class with Adrian. It has been a slow process but the main thing is that his enjoying music lessons. This is due to Adrian's fun style that is interactive and engaging. I look forward to similar if not better results with D as he seems to listen and be better instructed by Adrian.
