About Me

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile!

I graduated VCE in 2015, with an ATAR of 90.4, including study scores of 41.9 in Biology and 42.6 in Geography. I would love to use the knowledge I have gained to help students achieve the best results possible!

I have endless passion for life and earth sciences, having studied Environmental Science at university with a strong focus in Ecology. I plan to dedicate my life to conservation, and, for me, it all started with VCE Biology and Geography. Not only do I love Bio and Geography, but I love teaching as well! I hope my enthusiasm for tutoring and for these subjects is infectious in my students.

Throughout high school and university, I have taken in many skills in both study technique and the (very intensive) content knowledge of these subjects, putting me in an excellent position to get current students succeeding in no time!

Whether you are struggling to understand the content, having difficulty getting your head around exam technique, are suffering from test anxiety, bored by the (very) dry textbook, or just need someone to talk to about your studies, I am more than happy to assist to turn all that around for you.

My goal is to be the tutor I wish I always had in VCE.

I am familiar with the current curriculum for both Geography and Biology, for Units 1/2 and Units 3/4.

For both subjects, areas I can cover are (but not at all limited to):

-SAC preparation

-In depth discussion and familiarisation of every topic required in the study design

-All outcomes and assessments

-Scientific report writing

-Case studies (Geography)

-Exam preparation, techniques and practice (including methods to minimise test anxiety, effectively study, use your time, memorise key points, and get every one of those extra marks)

Some examples for Biology include:

-Cellular biology (cellular makeup/structures, functions and processes, reproduction and cellular communications)

–Genetics (inheritance, alleles, DNA, genes, chromosomes, pedigrees, genotypes/phenotypes etc)

– Including population genetics and DNA manipulation

-Taxonomy (classification, relatedness, human change over time)

My method for tutoring is online, which means I am always available to help you, wherever you may be; all that’s necessary is access to a computer and internet. I am happy to run through the online tutoring process and I am sure you will find it is incredibly simple (it’s certainly my preferred method for ease of access and availability). I also include phone and email support for times between lessons when you may need urgent attention.

I hold a valid Working With Children’s Check and Victorian Driver’s License.

I offer a FREE initial consultation to offer you a chance to try before you commit to any further lessons.

I am only charging $40 per hour, with the initial consultation (first lesson) always free! I also offer half price sessions for any period following the first hour (often one hour is not enough to get through everything a student may require, so it’s only fair to offer a discount for further help).

Contact me and let’s get started! I thoroughly look forward to helping you succeed.
