About Me

I have taught in New Zealand, starting with Japanese amongst two groups who wanted to learn the basics and the introduction into the language. They were really eager to learn new things and get to know me and my knowledge about it. And I told them a lot of the influences were actually taking interest into the language, find the culture, in which case watching Japanese dramas, animations and participating in Japanese festivals that were in truth quite popular in where I lived. They performed well following these rules and successfully grasped the very basics of the language.

Another institution I worked at was located in Busan, where I taught students, aged anywhere from twelve to seventeen. And it was very interesting to see how each of them reacted and how they perceived learning. Though some students got lazy, I tried to do cool things like playing educational games but they were only to boost their joy and pleasure into the learning, rather than entertainment.

Overall, I really enjoyed my students and they were very energetic personality-wise and friendship clicked really easily with me. Also, I’m very respectful towards them regardless of their age or gender, which is also a thing that I personally think is really crucial to adapt and lead the classes.

To talk about my teaching philosophies, I think that one of the key aspects of teaching is planting students with motivations. A lot of my students struggled with these problems in the beginning, but later overcame as time slowly dragged by. I have myriad teaching sources from what I have maintained over the past many years. And they have been really helpful to hone the kids’ abilities whether it’s grammar or the SATs. I also believe that having students in my class is also beneficial to myself, in which I’m able to explore how they are thinking and also see how they are paving their pathways into the future. And with that spirit, I try to share that light and let them take that in to alter their mindsets. Teacher and student relationships are strongly conducive to an academic environment, and if they look promising, they have a good prospect for improvement in their English. I have noticed a lot of different minds amongst students varying by age, and even if they need serious help, there were always solutions in which I could easily cope with, hence making my lessons up to my designated standards. I usually have a plan or calendar that I give to students about what will be studied over the months, in which case the specific chapters that kids will study or read. And by doing so, they are able to keep track of how they are doing, what they need to fulfill their weakness and specifically ask questions if they need further help. I have an occasional daily quiz or a weekly quiz that are used to access how much they are performing and improving over the space of particular time.
