  • Violin teacher. Originally from Switzerland, I grew up playing the violin from the age of four. I have had the chance to live abroad in Asia and travel, which has allowed me to have a multi-cultural upbringing and gain musical knowledge through diverse influences. I am passionate about creating a motivating, positive and uplifting atmosphere for students to learn and practice music, in which the passion for music is prioritised. My teaching methodology is to pass on the joy of music to my students by focusing on personal targets and personalising teaching methods to suit each student.

About Me

Originally from Switzerland, I grew up playing the violin from the age of four. I have had the chance to live abroad in Asia and travel, which has allowed me to have a multi-cultural upbringing and gain musical knowledge through diverse influences. I am passionate about creating a motivating, positive and uplifting atmosphere for students to learn and practice music, in which the passion for music is prioritised. My teaching methodology is to pass on the joy of music to my students by focusing on personal targets and personalising teaching methods to suit each student.

Teaching experience:
Working with a music school for a period of 3 years, allowed me to develop my teaching skills by teaching a variety of ages and playing levels, guiding each student through their journey by assessing individual needs and goals. As a teacher through the Covid pandemic, I have had to adapt to online teaching and diversify my teaching methods. I have had the pleasure to train and prepare students for the AMEB exams from preliminary to Grade 6, with the majority of students achieving excellent scores of A+ to B. By teaching on average 15-20 individual students on a weekly basis over the span of 3 years, I have learned how to adequately prepare lessons by prioritising a productive use of time and having additional resources on hand, without overlooking the importance of building a good relationship with the student.
