About Me

Dr. Edward Primrose is a composition graduate from the Canberra School of Music (ANU). Recipient of the ASME Young Composers Award and numerous Australia Council awards, Edward has been widely commissioned. He spent several years in the UK and France as composer for theatre, dance, video and film. He has conducted opera, symphonic, choral and chamber works as well as numerous film score recordings.
Composer of symphonies, instrumental, choral and electroacoustic works, an opera, music for theatre, radio drama and dance plus numerous scores for films and documentaries. He completed the Graduate Certificate in Teaching Creative Practice, then completed his PhD in musical dramaturgy. He specialises in music theory and composition, in particular music for film.
Edward has been teaching at tertiary, secondary and industry level for over 25 years.
