I have a passion for teaching, and I enjoy watching student’s attain their academic goals.
“The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.” Mark Van Doren.
I incorporated cutting-edge multimedia in all my lessons. Videos, animations and interactive learning have the capacity engage students and enrich their understanding. Video exposes students to real-life scenarios, aiding their overall understanding and they have been shown to be most beneficial for previously lower performing students. Additionally, animations have been shown to increase the retention rate of information. [Laurillard D (2002). Rethinking university teaching: A conversational framework for the effective use of learning technologies. Routledge]
I do my best to ensure students have confidence in all aspects of the subject. I focus on creating a strong bond between theory and practice. Student’s often comment on the success of this strategy, especially with the specially formulated exam program I have created.
