About Me

I have always been passionate about teaching and sharing my love for music. Beginning my singing journey at a very young age (only 7), I understand the importance of having a good teacher during any stage of your music development. I have been fortunate with my teachers and educators, who demonstrated me a true excellence in this complex craft and aspired me to share the love for music through educating others. Having a long history of learning music and a three year experience in teaching it, I developed a successful lesson structure that now helps students achieve their goals and grow a greater passion for music.

In addition to my love for singing, during my study at the Queensland Conservatorium, I developed a strong interest in Music Theory and Composition, which led me to topping my Music Theory 4 class and being appointed a tutor for the Music Theory Peer Mentoring Program at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. In my last year of the degree, I have taken on an elective - Composition Project, supervised by Dr Gerardo Dirie. In this subject, I successfully completed a song cycle for baritone, string quartet and flute. Three of the songs were performed at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in October 2016.

In the Conservatorium I also have undertaken a course Piano Skills (Advanced). However, the beginning of my piano playing experience is dating back to 2004, when I began studying piano in Music School (Belarus). Graduating it in 2011 with High Distinction, I got aspired to also teach this instrument others and develop in my students a strong passion for music.

A bit more about me: I am a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) graduate from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, who studied under the President of the Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing - Shelli Hulcombe. A recipient of the Royal Northern College of Music Scholarship (Manchester), as well as Società Dante Alighieri Scholarship and 2015 Cuskelly Summer School Scholarship. Within my study at the Queensland Conservatorium I have been awarded Griffith University Award for Academic Excellence every year of my degree.

In addition to these, I have been fortunate to be awarded with 2011 Brisbane City Council Junior Championship Trophy - Brisbane Eisteddfod, a second place in the International Vocal Competition “I sing for you, Russia” 2009 in Velikiye Luki, a Presidential Award for Young Talents 2008 in Minsk and a third place in the International Vocal Competition “Little Opera” 2008 in Kohtla-Järve. During my study in the Conservatorium, I have gained a lot of stage experience, being successful in the Opera Production auditions every year.

Being born in Belarus and beginning my music learning there, I also developed strong knowledge in singing Russian repertoire. Since my arrival to Australia I have also been privately tutoring Russian for singers and look forward to expand the number of students that master this language.
