My name is Rosemary Dale and I am a High Distinction average student completing my final semester of a Bachelor of Arts (Languages) at the University of Sydney, majoring in Germanic Studies, Spanish & Latin American Studies and Modern Greek & Byzantine Studies. I find learning and tutoring foreign languages highly enjoyable and fulfilling.
I have years of experience privately tutoring high school and university students as well as adults, of various competencies and levels including complete beginners, year 11, HSC Continuers and senior university. As a result, I have been able to refine my skills in catering for the student’s ability and age.
I also have extensive experience with children at pre-primary and primary school age due to volunteer work such as aiding Visual Arts classes, being a Patrol Leader in Girl Guides, planning lessons and teaching primary school classes in Peru. I babysit on a casual basis which involves aiding the children with their homework and leisure activities. As a consequence, I have developed a comprehensive range of skills when it comes to communicating with, guiding and teaching younger children.
In high school I received an ATAR of 98.15, was a Distinguished Achiever and All-Round Achiever, and came 5th in the state in German Continuers HSC. In university I have consistently achieved High Distinctions and Distinctions, and have a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 86.08. I’ve received several awards for high academic achievement at both high school and tertiary level.
