I am a fully registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) (No. 607805), I also have a current working with children check (WWCC) (No. 0909928A-01 Exp. 10.02.2022)
I am currently employed as a secondary school teacher in Melbourne. I teach VCE Psychology at both Year 11 and Year 12. I have undertaken graduate study in secondary school teaching with methods in psychology and humanities (history, geography, civics and citizenship, business and economics) at RMIT University. Through my studies and teaching experience, I have gained experience in planning activities, developing individualised learning programs, assessment, pedagogical strategies and engaging students in their learning. Through my studies, I have access to a wealth of learning resources (textbooks, worksheets and activities) that I will use to enhance my tutorial sessions. I am able to help my students develop the skills and content knowledge to achieve their maximum potential in SACs and VCAA examinations.
My teaching philosophy emphasises individual goal setting, positive and constructive feedback and developing effective, individualised study strategies that take into account the student's learning style and preferences. I welcome all secondary school students regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity and level of ability. My service, lesson plans and activities are tailored to the needs of the individual student and their learning goals.
I also have completed both undergraduate study and postgraduate research at the University of Melbourne in the fields of psychology, social sciences and public health.
