Hello my name is Michael and I completed the HSC in 2017. I have achieved an ATAR of 99.55 and I plan on studying Bachelor of Commerce/Laws at University of Sydney or Bachelor of Actuarial Studies/Commerce at UNSW.
I believe HSC rewards students who work smarter and efficiently more than those who just work hard. I used various study methods for different subjects to maximise my results. I am confident that my students too will be able to apply these techniques to reduce their hours of study while greatly improving their marks
I am confident that my students can achieve high marks in the HSC regardless of their intelligence by putting in constant effort and with my assistance. In my junior years, my academic results were subpar and I still managed to achieve high HSC marks in my final year of schooling. Hence, I have the upmost confidence in enabling my students to achieve their goals regardless of their previous marks by using a different approach to HSC than many other naturally smart tutors. This approach involves developing a deep understanding of each subject opposed to rote memorisation many tutors utilise. This enables the students to appreciate the subject and develop a passion towards it. Moreover, it is essential in solving difficult problems that differentiates band 6 students from band 5 students.
Having recently gone through the whole HSC process, I'm familiar with the challenges of high school and I would love to be a part of your journey. I hope to serve as a mentor as much as a tutor by motivating students and helping them through the emotionally draining process of HSC.
