My name is Loki Fu and I am an enthusiastic violin tutor. I have 2 years of experience teaching violin privately. I am extremely patient when it comes to teaching children and strive to maintain close communications with parents about their children, regarding their progress. I really hope to achieve personal ambitions as well as setting out the right course for them to follow. I am currently a second-year student at UNSW so I am relatively young, making it easier for students to establish a strong bond.

When is a good age for my son/daughter to start learning the violin?
The age of 6 is what I normally recommend; it takes a long time to actually play the instrument. During this stage, developing listening and a sense of rhythm will be worked on more, as it is fundamental to have strong foundation. Along with the practical component, music theory will also be taught in reasonable amounts.
How long have you been teaching for?
I’ve been teaching for around 2 years, currently I have five students right now. I’ve had students go through exams and they’ve all been happy/successful with their results.
What do you teach?
The course I dedicate to teaching is the AMEB syllabus. It is usually the most well known in Sydney. I am registered as a teacher on their AMEB connects. I do offer services in HSC syllabus for Music 2 and Ext Music (I got encore nominations). I also do reference Suzuki books to develop listening/reading/rhythm components of music. I also provide services for people who just want to play the violin.
