I am a recent Honours graduate from the University of Melbourne, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Degree with Honours) in Criminology and Media & Communications. All throughout my tertiary education, I successfully tutored primary and secondary students in the following subjects:
-Legal Studies (Units 1-4)
-Health and Human Development (Units 1-4)
-Mathematics (primary and secondary)
-Reading comprehension and writing (primary and secondary)
Throughout my experience, I have corrected/proof-read work, assisted with assignments, prepared students for tests, SACs and exams, and helped with homework completion.
I have always loved learning and strive to instil this passion in my students. In addition to my studies, I have undertaken an immense range of co-curricular activities. I believe they improve organisational skills and avoid procrastination.
In 2017, I worked as a camp counsellor at an American summer camp, assisting children with special needs in a range of activities. I have also volunteered at the River Nile Learning Centre to support young refugees and asylum seekers in secondary and tertiary years.
I like knowing what I will be covering in the upcoming session, as this will help me to prepare and bring along additional resources. Having said this, I am adaptable and can cater the session based on what the student/parents may want/need.
I am available to assist students on weeknights and weekends.
