With Josh's teaching I just managed to achieve a high distinction for my AMEB grade 1 exam! The first time in my life! At aged 35 I never thought I could. Learning with Media Luna Guitar Tuition allows us to communicate our requirements, and we are not learning guitar in a single fixed style. My previous guitar teacher was rigid in the requirement to learn a Bach piece regardless of if I wanted to or not. With such a wide range of guitar music, it’s great to have teacher who is not fixed in their teaching. Who knows, I might decide at some point to change focus back to electric guitar, I know that with Josh I can do this without a concern.

Josh is an amazing guitar teacher and mentor for anyone seeking greater enjoyment and greater achievement in guitars in all genres. Josh is very experienced, very patient and easy going. While lessons are professional, they are also fun at the same time! Depending on students' age group and desire, Josh adjusts the focus and the emphasis of the lessons on technical, performance etc matching each student’s desires and needs. He is by far the best music teacher I've had and I highly recommend Josh to any keen guitar player out there seeking a teacher/mentor and a friend.

Josh has been teaching ours sons classical guitar for over two years. In that time he has been a consummate professional and very reliable. More than that however has been the importance of his teaching style, he has a wonderful encouraging manner and easy personality which my sons relate very well to. His teaching has been critical to the ongoing enjoyment my sons get from playing the guitar.

Josh is an amazing teacher, he made me feel so at ease and gave me the confidence and practice skills to pass my AMEB exams first time! I never thought that would have been achievable before I met Josh.

Josh quickly worked out what I needed to learn and tailored my lessons to maximise my progress and enjoyment. If you are looking for a talented musician and teacher, Josh is your man.

For anyone out there wanting guitar lessons, Josh is the person I would recommend. A year ago, my teenager and I interviewed 3 tutors. Josh was the stand out choice ... friendly, professional and has great vibe about him ... he's been her tutor since. My daughter has walked out each week beaming and really enjoys the lesson. He provides structure and guidance and is engaging and encouraging.

Josh has been fantastic in listening to our individual needs. Thanks to him I got the top grade for my first AMEB exam! He has helped me get two theory grades under my belt, with a third to follow soon, in under a year. I think the reason he is so successful is because he makes it fun, and that is the whole point of playing music. He intersperses the syllabus pieces with more ambitious pieces (my ‘wish’ pieces) along the way. That way I am achieving my AMEB goals but also deriving tremendous pleasure from learning harder tunes and also new techniques along the way. All our family are now having lessons, and we are starting to play some pieces together which is great!

Josh is great guitar teacher. I have been learning to play with Josh for several years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been encouraged to play a variety of styles, classical, flamenco, blues and others. There is a great mix, with the joy of playing matched with the right amount of theory. Whilst we have focused on classical guitar, Josh has a wide knowledge and has suggested pieces to play from early classical styles right up to the contemporary.
