I am a visual and performing artist currently working at the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Art Gallery of NSW as a casual Audio Visual/ lighting technician and Art installer. Currently as the world stops during the novel COVID-19 pandemic all galleries and museums are closed. I am looking to support students and parents from tertiary trained and outcome focused program. I will be working from my home studio and have a lot to offer in the field of art, music and performance for ages 8-18 years.
I have previously educated school aged participants at Sculpture by the Sea, Shopfront Theatre, Casula Powerhouse, Arncliffe Public School and Griffith Regional Art Gallery. I have experience facilitating creative workshops involving visual art, performance and sound.
In other creative roles I have curated Electro-projections 2010 at the This is not art festival, and worked as music curator (2013) for Sydney Fringe Festival hosted by PACT Centre for Emerging Artists. I have a close working relationship with Performance Space and have assisted with multiple live arts projects. In these roles I have experience with scheduling, booking, logistic arrangements, fees and online content.
Working as an online tutor will allow me to share creative ways of observing and experiencing the joys of making art. I’m interested in contributing and working with a community of people and facilitating playful activities, encouragement and open frameworks of learning. I hope to inspire young people at a difficult time in their life.
Specific skills include: video and sound editing Final cut pro X, photography, guitar and singing, lighting, creative workshops.
